Bent on the destruction of the human race, the secret underground organization Shocker secretly planned to plunge the world into chaos. But they didn’t count on the revolt of both of their experimentally “reconstructed” human beings, the Masked Riders. Two years after their first battle with Shocker, a 3rd Rider arises to confront them, known only as “Version 3.” The arrival of the third Masked Rider will hurl the heroes into their most terrible battle yet and the fate of the world hangs in the balance.

It’s taken a while, but we’re finally back with Blu-ray of The Next! We’re using the TV-N subs, but have used the Malay English dub to clean up some of the lines a bit. This encode also features both the theatrical and extended endings in the same file, using the Editions feature like we did on Heisei vs. Showa to include both. If you don’t have a player that supports editions, the extended ending will play approximately 5 seconds after the end of the theatrical ending.

Masked Rider The Next – English Dub Cut

Along with the subtitled version, we’ve got the Malay English Dub here. This one required a separate encode because the dub cuts a small portion out around the 13 minute mark to remove some scenes with brief nudity. It uses the theatrical ending as well.

Masked Rider The First

Takeshi Hongo is a man of extraordinary intellect, but his promising future is about to be maliciously snuffed out by and evil secret society known as Shocker. Reinvented against his will and transformed into a powerful experimental cyborg, Hongo will forever be known as Maked Rider The First. He manages to regain his self-awareness and realizes he is being controlled by evil.

Shocker brands Hongo as a traitor and is prepared to do everything in their power to destroy him, even creating a new, nearly identical cyborg named Masked Rider The Second. However, their powers are too evenly matched and Shocker decides that both Masked Riders must die in order to usher in their plans of total world dominance.

This is a revised v2 release for The First. I’ve updated the subtitle font to something a little better than Calibri (the same as what we’re using for The Next), and added the Rider Club Radio commentary track featuring Jeff and Liam. The encode has been lengthened by several seconds at the end to account for the extra length of the commentary audio.

 

There is a patch for those who have the v1 release. The patch includes a new customized version of the xdeltaUI that allows for compressed patches.

A series of attacks from Darkliner Robots leaves the main Express Trains in dire need of repairs, once again leaving the Support Trains and Diesel-Oh all that the ToQgers can use. While searching for more Support Trains,  Loupe Shadow appears to paint the city black, and Right’s seeming disinterest upsets Mio.

Meanwhile, Nozama Peston Service goes for extermination at an apartment, as Mamoru homes in on the Amazon hiding there.

Heisei Rider vs. Showa Rider – Kamen Rider Wars feat. Super Sentai

The Underground Empire Badan makes its move, intending to invert the world. Kouta and Mai are pulled through one of these inversions where the discover a boy named Shu, who also holds the power to invert the world. As the Riders fight to protect Shu, Fifteen appears again, seeking Shu. As Kouta flees, past Riders gather and fight one another, split between the Showa and Heisei era Riders. But, the truth of Badan is not as it seems…

      

It’s time for the most ambitious release of the Gaim project so far! I’m really happy with everything I’ve been able to put together with this one. Using the Editions feature, both the Heisei and Showa endings are included in this file and can be viewed seamlessly by selecting the Heisei ending (default) or Showa ending. If you are watching on a player without Editions support, there is a 20 second black screen after the Heisei ending and then the Showa ending will play.

      

We’ve also included the Rider Club Radio audio commentary featuring Jeff, Liam, and Tomaz. What I’ve done here is create a custom stereo mix of the movie and layered the commentary on top so that you have a perfectly synced commentary and still have the movie audio. The commentary is designed for the Heisei ending, so the commentary will abruptly cut off if you try using it with the Showa ending. The commentary was also recorded with the original Imagination Station subs, so a couple of references to certain translations will not apply to the revised subs.

      

Last, the subs here are a trio of the regular hybrid revised subs, a modified set that skews closer to the hybrid Over-Time and Aesir versions like what we did for ToQGer vs Gaim, and last, the original Imagination Station subs. We also used and modified 3-4 lines from TV-N’s translation of the Showa ending, although most of the lines are the same as the Heisei ending.

 

UPDATE 5/21/17: I’ve released a v2 patch for this release that should fix the glitches at some of the chapter breaks. While most of them were properly set to keyframes, some weren’t, which caused stuttering at times. I had to move a couple of chapter breaks to hit the nearest keyframe, but it was that or re-encode the movie in both resolutions. Moving the breaks was the smaller and faster option. DDLs have also been updated as well.
