Kamen Rider Drive Spinoffs Collection

Celebrating Drive’s 10th anniversary, this collection packs Drive’s spinoff episodes into one complete package, many of which are now available in HD for the first time! The collection includes:

  • Kamen Rider Drive Secret Mission Type Zero
  • Kamen Rider Drive Secret Mission Type TV-kun*
  • Kamen Rider Drive Secret Mission Type High Speed!
  • Kamen Rider Drive Secret Mission Type Lupin

*Type TV-kun was upscaled to HD on the new Spinoff Collection Blu-ray. Picture quality is less than the other specials as a result.
**Type Tokujo [SCU] was previously available as part of the Drive BD Boxes. These episodes were not included in our complete series batch.
***This wasn’t in the collection, but it was suggested I should throw it in since I didn’t include it in the original series batch, so it’s here as well.

We’re back (sorta)! While pro work is still taking the majority of my time and I’m more or less retired, at least until that work slows down to where I have the time to dedicate to encoding, I couldn’t let “new” Drive content pass by, so here we are. The majority of these are Over-Time subs, with Type Tokujo Eps 3 and 4 being from GordScrubs with reworking to match O-T a little closer, and Kamen Rider Brain also has subs from GenmCorp and RiderTime. Brain Ep2 also has an “Over-Time Style” track since they didn’t do Brain Episode 2 that I’m aware of.

Kamen Rider Heisei Generations – Dr. Pac-Man VS Ex-Aid & Ghost with Legend Rider

As a computer virus based on Pac-Man invades Japan, a group of doctors attack Genm Corp and begin a wave of terror using stolen Proto Gashats. Ghost and Ex-Aid find themselves at the center of the fight in an effort to protect those most important to them. But they aren’t alone, as Heisei Riders from the past join them to stop Dr. Pac-Man!

      

Time for yet another movie that was already done from the BD, but we’re gonna do anyway! Along with the usual EXCITE/RTA combo, we’ve also got a commentary track here, featuring Sunglass of Capes and Cool Scarves, SpecialForm12, and Smithdanigans. As usual, the commentary is mixed with the movie audio and the encode is extended by a minute or so to account for the commentary. Enjoy!

Rain falls on February 10, 1973, as Shocker is defeated by the hands of Kamen Riders 1 and 2. Riders 1 and 2 ride off with their painful struggle seemingly at an end, but they are attacked by a car mounted with machine guns and adorned with the Tachibana Racing Club. It turns out that the vehicle is manned by another Kamen Rider who identifies himself as Kamen Rider 3, who was designed to destroy Riders 1 and 2. They do battle, but Rider 3 is able to take on both of them easily by himself. Riders 1 and 2 use their Rider Double Kick, but Rider 3’s own Rider Kick destroys Riders 1 and 2, and a green shockwave covers the land, twisting the timeline…

      

Time for another Drive-related movie! Once again, this is a movie that was already released by Over-Time using a BD encode, but I had a couple of requests to include OrangeLion’s subs as well, and as always, any excuse to go back to Drive is fine with me. Plus, Over-Time recently began releasing the sequel/true ending to this movie, Kamen Rider 4, so it seemed like a good time anyway.

Kamen Rider Gaim: The Last Charge to the Stage

A mechanical lifeform arrives on the planet Kouta and Mai settled on and introduces itself as Megahex, a being that seeks to assimilate all life. Megahex kidnaps Mai and fights Kouta while obtaining data from his memories, which he uses to open a portal to Earth in order to attack it. Despite his power as an Overlord, Gaim is defeated and seemingly destroyed by Megahex over the skies of Zawame City before the astonished eyes of the other Beat Riders. Mitsuzane, being the only Rider left with his Sengoku Driver, steps up to fight back…

Lupin then appears and reveals that he is actually ZZZ, who came to life upon coming into contact with an old, dying master criminal known as Zoruku Tojo. Becoming Kamen Rider Lupin, Tojo battles Drive, leading Krim to make the ultimate sacrifice…

With Megahex having merged with ZZZ, the Armored Riders make their stand, as Drive arrives, having followed Megahex’s perfected form. As enemies, allies, and fallen friends join together to stop Megahex, Gaim and Drive receive new powers from Mai and take the fight to the Megahex homeworld to end it once and for all…

Like previous movies, we’ve got 3 tracks here, with the revised version, an Over-Time/Aesir hybrid, and the original Over-Time track. Not much was changed here other than the typical revisions.

 

Revision Notes:

  • Updated Zork Tojo to Zoruku Tojo on Revised track.
  • Changed some Drive terminology to use the translations from Aesir’s subs of the Drive previews (MI-D vs SCU, etc.) on Aesir hybrid track.

As with the complete set for OOO, I’ve re-sorted the PNG versions into more of a thematic order, while the raw BMP caps are in their original numerical order.
