Express Sentai ToQGer vs Kamen Rider Gaim – Spring Break Combo Special

The ToQGers stop at a  station in Zawame City, where there is no Shadow Line activity. However, they come across Kamen Rider Gaim and are brought into a fight with the Underground Empire known as Badan. As the ToQGers and the Armored Riders work together to discover Badan’s true intentions, a mysterious Rider calling himself Fifteen appears…

      

These subtitles are another mix of sources, with the standard revised track, an Over-Time/Aesir hybrid that uses Aesir’s terms like we included with Gaim x Wizard, and the original Over-Time track. The Over-Time track uses the original ToQGer font since they released this as part of their ToQGer releases while the hybrid and revised tracks use the updated font we use for Gaim. Last, the AesiriusB April Fools’ Day joke subs are included as well.

Kamen Rider Gaim Episode 23

Episode 23: Take the Field! Triumph Arms!

Now aware that he killed Yuuya, Kouta loses all will to fight, and will not even seek to destroy the Scalar System. As he struggles with the thought of telling the truth to his friends, he is approached once more by DJ Sagara, who gives him a new, mysterious Lockseed. Back in Helheim, Kaito encounters the strange Overlord Inves he’s been seeking and demands a fight.

Time for the episodes with four subtitle tracks. What we’ve done here, with the introduction of the Overlords, is retain the cipher that Aesir created for the Overlord language. However, because these lines can be translated back to Japanese and, therefore, to English, there is a deciphered track included for both the revised and original subs. It is highly recommended that if you are new to the series, that you watch using the ciphered tracks, and revisit the episodes later to find out what the Overlords are saying.

 

Revision Notes: Added Overlord lines based on Magenta’s notes on /m/ using Aesir’s cipher, plus secondary deciphered tracks. Altered Triumphant Arms to Triumph Arms based on Over-Time’s translation in both episode title and subs.

Episode 22: The Truth of One in Seven

More and more cracks to appear throughout Zawame, now appearing in the open. Kouta intends to defend the crack from within Helheim before any Inves can pass through. However, Kouta encounters Ryoma and Yoko waiting for him on the Helheim side of the crack, also defending it.

Episode 21: Yggdrasill’s Secret

Helheim will soon destroy the Earth if no one acts on it. Kouta informs Mitsuzane about this and insists they must do something, but Mitsuzane is hesitant as he already knows the truth. Meanwhile, Kaito examines a photograph taken from within Helheim and believes he sees a human figure, and heads into the forest to investigate.

Episode 19: The Secret Weapon He Gave

Duke fights against Gaim and Baron and manages to come out on top. As they lick their wounds, DJ Sagara appears and gives Kouta a gift in the form of a Tulip Hopper Lockseed. When they arrive in the Helheim Forest, they are quickly surrounded by Yggdrasill, pressuring the two Riders to fight to stay alive.

Revision Notes: Usage of “mettle” has been switched to “courage”. Only Kaito will be using “mettle” from here on, as it suits him. Some additional belt sounds have been added and some restyled a bit to account for the new ones. Final Zangetsu has been changed to Zangetsu Shin to match the official translation. Episode preview has the on-screen captions reconstructed with a close font match to the one Toei uses as for whatever reason, they were left off of the BD preview.

Episode 18: Farewell, Beat Riders

Mai tries to host a dance contest to bring everyone’s morale up, but none of the teams will participate. Mai tries to get Kouta to convince Team Baron to join, but he is not sure that he will dance either. It is only the appearance of Oren who changes the minds of the others, as he turns their friendly dance competition into an outright fight.

Revision Notes: Tweaked the wording on some lines to restore terms we hear the characters say that weren’t in the subs. No translations were outright changed.

Episode 17: The Peach Rider Marika Makes Her Entrance!

After Takatora reveals the truth about Helheim Forest to Mitsuzane, he tasks his brother with recovering Kouta’s Sengoku Driver. Elsewhere, Oren, Yoko, and Jounouchi plan to perform the same act with their own plan in mind. Kouta later receives a phone call that tells him his sister has been kidnapped.

Revision Notes: Malika has been revised to Marika to match the official translation.
