Say, I have been wondering now, why is it that the episodes files are mostly over 700 MIB while the episodes from W were between 440 – 700 MIB? Is it okay to ask someone from another site to re-encode your videos; at least by half, like a file having 900 MIB will be re-encoded to be 450 MIB. I just wanted to ask before hand.
I don’t mind if you want to re-encode them or have someone else do so. I’m perfectly happy with the file sizes for the most part but if you want them smaller, so be it. To be perfectly honest, I’m not sure why the file sizes increased as much as they did but I don’t do any filtering on these aside from resizing to 720p, so they are basically just dropped into MeGUI and encoded as-is. I realized later that there may be stuff like chroma noise I’ve never looked at that impacts OOO more than W. I’ll probably look at that closer for future encodes, but I’ve already finished encoding the raws for OOO aside from 2-3 things I’m just getting my hands on now, so I won’t be making any changes on the rest of OOO.
