Episode 2: The Global Police in Pursuit
The two opposing Sentai battle one another as the Gangler makes his escape! Patren #1, Keiichiro, vows to stop the Gangler to help the jewelry store owner, as Kairi, Lupin Red, remembers the day he lost his brother and became a Lupinranger. As the Gangler returns, the two teams clash again, but can they manage to stop the real threat in time?
Minor note here that’s a slight change to how our encodes usually are done: I’m keeping the bit right after the OP (not sure if there’s an official name for it but I usually call it the sponsor segment). These usually get cut off because I find them repetitive and while they don’t use up much space, it’s 10 extra seconds of unneeded footage in each episode. However, because the OP music flows into this segment here, I’ve opted to retain them rather than have an abrupt cut or have to fade the audio in each episode.

Well I would like that you can keep them from now, given with the changes we get when introducing new VS Vehicles, especially with how at over-time switched the raws for web rips which include the segments but w/o the sponsor announcements, perhaps you can also do this for when Kamen Rider Zi-O comes out in BD as well; also with this you may not have to work as much for the scripts when trying the match the timing now, although perhaps you may need to remove the subs from when CM comes, but that happens at the end so that should be easy.
I’m only keeping them when they are necessary for musical cues like this. Otherwise, they’re almost always recycled episode footage, which means they’re useless as far as I’m concerned. The timing is a non-issue because it’s a simple 240 frame adjustment, so that’s not enough of a reason for me to keep them on future shows.
Definitely some of them are “new” footage. The Fourze ones had that footage of the foodroids pirating copies of the episodes.
That’s a fair point. Still, at best, I’d probably encode those as extras if there was enough demand for them. The Rider ones usually seem to be more unique footage than the Super Sentai ones, but still, as repetitive as they can get, I still feel like they’re a bit of a waste in most cases.
